While busy summer months are just around the corner, I’m looking ahead to this fall when NTEA once again will bring together the upfitter community with chassis manufacturer technical and engineering experts during Commercial Vehicle Upfitting Summit, Oct. 15–16, 2024, at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, Ohio. I hope you’ll save the date for this valuable event and watch for registration to open soon.

Why is the Upfitting Summit so important? Let’s be real; the upfitting community is essential in making commercial vehicles work for their customers. Providing a forum for upfitters and OEMs to connect on the latest technical product details and specifications supports those efforts to offer safe, reliable, efficient vehicles that help customers get their work done.

The combination of OEM update programs along with associated vehicle displays for product measurements, walkarounds and Q&A with technical experts, enables the opportunity to secure important details for business planning. This information helps upfitters understand upcoming model year changes from OEMs and identify any potential challenges may arise as they prepare for new vehicles to enter their shops. Likewise, it’s an important connection point for chassis manufacturers to hear industry feedback and respond to questions.

Mark your calendar now for NTEA’s Commercial Vehicle Upfitting Summit. Registration details will be available soon. I hope to see you in Sandusky!
