Transmission Shift Position Sequence, Starter Interlock, and
Transmission Braking Effect
This Standard applies to MPVs, trucks and buses. It specifies requirements
for the transmission shift lever sequence and shift lever position labeling, a
starter interlock, and requires a braking effect of automatic transmissions at
speeds below 25 mph.
