As the work truck industry’s resource for technical, regulatory and safety information, NTEA released an updated three-part series on vehicle certification basics, sponsored by WorkTruckCert.

While all certification requirements have the same goal (ensuring safe and compliant vehicles), they accomplish it in somewhat different manners. These distinctions can be critical for final-stage manufacturers completing or altering a truck for use in any of those geographic regions.

“We strive to deliver relevant information to help companies in the work truck community conform to government mandates,” said Bob Raybuck, NTEA’s director of technical services. “This series highlights key steps in the certification process for each market, helping identify importantsimilarities and differences in vehicle safety and emissions certification systems.”
